Facial Aging and Volume Restoration

As people age, the face looses its youthful volume, causing permanent lines. Common concerns are visible or deep tear troughs under the eyes, sagging cheeks, visible and permanent nasolabial fold lines, marionette lines/jowels, and thinner lips with so-called smokers’ lines. Fillers such as Versa, Restylane, Juvederm are a wonderful choice in the right patient to restore some of the lost volume.

Even young patients without visible signs of aging may choose to augment the natural curvature of their cheeks and lips. Most fillers are injected in a 30 min office procedure with only mild swelling and bruising after, causing minimal to no downtime. A topical numbing cream is all that is generally needed for the mild discomfort associated with injections. Dr Borger also has extensive training in nerve blocks for those more sensitive areas such as the lips.

Any treatment begins with a complimentary consultation during which Dr. Borger talks with you about your skin concerns and determines which laser treatment will work best for you. Laser treatments are generally performed as a series for maximum results. We offer complimentary topical numbing to make the experience as painless as possible. The topical numbing generally takes 30 minutes, with your actual laser treatment lasting another 20-60 minutes depending on the treatment and size of area treated.

What to expect

During a complimentary consultation, Dr Borger will assess your areas of concern. On the treatment day, the Profound RF MN treatment starts by injecting lidocaine with epinephrine to numb the treated areas, followed by the treatment with the Profound RF device, which is very comfortable after the injected numbing. The area will be slightly swollen and bruised after the procedure.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Regeneration and Anti-Aging

Platelet Rich Plasma is one of the greatest and most natural regeneration and anti-aging therapies. Platelet Rich plasma is your own blood, spun down to remove red bloods cells, and concentrated to contain supra physiologic levels of platelets. Platelets are full of growth factors to stimulate cellular growth, and healing. PRP also contains important cell mediators, cytokines and hormones to attract regenerative cells and induce the formation of new collagen, and cells. Platelet rich plasma has many uses, and Dr Borger has advanced training to use PRP in facial regeneration, either used as a natural filler, or combined with micro needling as collagen stimulation therapy. Dr Borger is very excited to offer PRP also for hair regeneration, and female and male sexual medicine; the Penile PRP Shot for male sexual dysfunction and PRP-vaginal rejuvenation for female sexual dysfunction, and decreased stress incontinence.

Exceed Microneedling

Collagen induction therapy, also known as microneedling, can address many cosmetic concerns, such as aging and dull skin, hyper-pigmentation (such as melasma), enlarged pores, small spider veins, and scars. During micro needling, millions of fractional micro-channels are created. The body naturally reacts by launching processes to repair this damage. The result is an increased production of natural woven collagen, elastin and fibrin, stimulation of growth factors, reduction of hyper pigmentation (such as age spots) and dilated capillaries, and accelerated skin renewal and turnover. Following application of a facial numbing cream, the Exceed Microneedling System creates microchannels for regeneration and induction of collagen. Combine Microneedling with Platelet Rich Plasma
